Running the Code:

The application is written in HTML and PHP, and as such it requires a PHP enabled server in order to run. In addition, a lot of the page content is user specific and viewing those pages require data from Bears & Bulls' mySQL database. Lastly, since Bears & Bulls is a Facebook application, the program must be run inside Facebook's iFrame in order to recieve certain variables, such as user IDs.

The application can be tested locally using a PHP enabled Apache server. No pages with user specific content will be viewable since connection to Bears and Bulls' database is required for user specific data. These include the dashboard (homepage), portfolio, pending orders and history pages.

Bears & Bulls is intended to be a Facebook application and so to enjoy the full features of our application, the program must be viewed through Facebook. After creating a Facebook account, search for Bears & Bulls under apps. If you have trouble finding the app, please contact a developer and we will send you an invitation to play the game. Note that the application is still undergoing active development and the current state should still be considered as a developer alpha. User data may be wiped at any time and existing functions may be removed or updated as needed.
